Spread of disease from person-to-person is thought to happen when someone coughs/sneezes and the germs enter your body. If you live in an enclosed housing situation you will want to clean common areas several times throughout the day. As always, if you are ill, you should limit your contact with others to avoid spreading your germs.
The Emergency Winter Shelter was scheduled to close on March 31. It will remain open until at least April 30. Beds are now spaced at 6′ which means we can only accommodate 40 people and assessing each client, each day for potential symptoms upon entry. Our Rapid Rehousing Case Manager is supportive clients via phone and e-mail and short-term financial support continues to be provided to landlord partners.
If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness and would like more information about other services you may qualify for please call the County’s Community Intervention Program at (707) 565-4811
